Bereavement Support
Grief is the natural reaction to the loss of a loved one, and feelings of sadness, yearning, guilt, regret and anger are natural. Bereavement Support Counseling is a therapeutic exercise that helps you come to healthy “resolution” to your loss. The Houston Hospice Bereavement Team offers individual Bereavement Support for the loved ones of our patients, over the course of 13 months. Bereavement Support Groups offer an opportunity to help you manage grief in a group setting. Grieving with the support of others is a healthy way to honor your feelings so that you can begin to heal. For more information, please contact our specialized bereavement team at 713-677-7131.
On-going Bereavement Support Groups are on hold as we monitor COVID-19
Grieving is a natural part of the healing process. Support groups provide an opportunity for you to share your experiences with others and listen to the stories of others who are in similar situations. Come listen, share, and be with other who understand. Theses open-format groups provide on-going support during the grief process. Facilitated by Houston Hospice staff and volunteers, groups provide support to adults who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Please allow 4-6 weeks after the passing of your loved one before attending the following groups. Registration is not required.
