Bereavement Support

Grief is the natural and expected reaction to the loss of a loved one, and feelings of sadness, yearning, guilt, regret, and anger are normal. The Houston Hospice Bereavement Team offers individualized bereavement support for the loved ones of our patients, for at least a year after the death. This can include phone support, written information normalizing grief and loss, support groups and counseling as needed. The Bereavement Support Groups offer an opportunity to help you manage grief in a group setting. Grieving with the support of others is a healthy way to honor your feelings so that you can begin to heal. For more information, please call (713) 677-7155 to speak with our specialized Bereavement Team.

ON-GOING GRIEF SUPPORT GROUPS

Grieving is a natural part of the healing process. Come listen, share, and be with others who understand. These open-format groups provide on-going support during the grief process. Facilitated by Houston Hospice staff, groups provide support to adults who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
