Butterfly Luncheon Speakers

Patients and families at Houston Hospice are surrounded by a cocoon of support.  Our interdisciplinary care teams become extended family members as they attend to the needs of the entire family during their loved ones’ final days. At the 22^nd Annual Butterfly Luncheon, one of the families who has experienced this all-encompassing model of end-of-life care will share their story.

Jake Hampton was a pediatric patient of Houston Hospice’s Butterfly Team. His parents, Monica and Wallis, and twin sisters, Natalie and Nicole, were moved by how many team members were devoted to caring for Jake. They were overwhelmed by the team’s compassionate attentiveness to their concerns, questions, and state of mind as they prepared to say goodbye to their beloved son and brother.
