Non-Patient Care Types of Service
- Office and Clerical – Filing, operating the copy and fax machine, shredding and preparing handout packets
- Computer Work – Data entry, create forms and prepare documents
- Special Events – Community events, such as the International Quilt Festival, church bazaars, the Butterfly Luncheon, Spirit Award Dinner, Trees of Light and other fundraising events throughout the year
- Houston Hospice Quilt Project – Stitchers, sewers and quilters create an annual quilt as a fund raising project
- Thrift Shop – Volunteers help out at the St. Christopher’s Houston Hospice Thrift Shop, 1650 Blalock from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. any day except Sundays and Mondays. The Thrift Shop needs volunteers of all ages and interests who enjoy working with people.
- Handy Man/Woman – Volunteers are sometimes needed for small home repair projects
- Margaret Cullen Marshall Hospice Patient Care Center (TMC location) receptionist
- Speaker’s Bureau – address community groups about Houston Hospice services
