Volunteer Training
The volunteer department of Houston Hospice suggests all interested people complete a comprehensive 25-hour volunteer training.
Presentations during the training include A to Z of volunteering, listening skills, communication, spiritual care at the end-of-life, diversity, nursing,
social work, logistics of hospice, Houston Hospice Patient Care Center,
bereavement support and funeral planning. Training dates are Saturdays, May 17, 31, June 7 and 14 from 9:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. Please contact Ruth Landauer at 713-677-7120 for more information.
